MOUNTAIN MADNESS TAKES SECOND AT CAR SHOW IN ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION CLASS.
CLICK HERE TO SEE THE DETAILS.
No offense to the guys who can pay the $20,000 - $25,000 for a full out custom mountain sled, but for guys like me, we don't have that kind of coin to spend on a sled. So, the question posed was, "How do you build a custom mountain sled on a budget?
Namely, a budget of around $4,000. yet, make it look professional, and not look like a cobbled up suicide machine. By surfing the web for swap meets, salvage yards, message boards, people you know. .everywhere. You wheel and deal until you get what you need.
Stay tuned for the reincarnation of a 1997 670 MXZ into a 2004 Summit 670X (the X is for the X-Tra cubic centimeters I put into it).
Come see the Madness - IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to share this to show the dedication and endless friendships that are
built from our extreme hobbies. This poem was written by Perry D.
for the creator of Madness in dedication to the hard work and bloody knuckles.
An Ode To Maize
Crazy Maizie had a dream,
to build a sled and make it scream.
Up the mountain and down the slopes,
this bad ass sled would secure his hopes.
He bought the parts from lands abroad,
to build this beast that would put us in awe.
A mountain sled that was "bred from the dead"
would be ripping up hills and turning our heads.
With an engine twin piped to light up the night,
this sled would deliver big bark and big bite.
Using his tools to break all the rules,
this beast would ensure that the rest were all fools.
"Talk is for panzies", said our man Maizie,
"whip out your pink slip, we'll see if your crazy".
Everyone's seen it, and nobody's yet moved,
to challenge Madness would prove your a fool.
So sit on your sled and look up the slope,
and see our boy Maize climb like a goat.
Dodging amongst the rocks, and above all the trees,
MADNESS is the cure for our buddies disease.
